We all know the classic radio comedies inside out; Take It From Here, Hancock's Half Hour, The Goon show, Beyound Or Ken, Round the Horne, The Navy Lark etc. In this section I take a look at the vintage British television sitcoms of the 40s to 90s that are largely forgotten today, which includes those that are forgotten merely due to the length of time since they've been heard, more recent once popular in their time but now rarely spoken about as well as the quiet little gems and middle-of-the-road tat that were ignored at their time of broadcast. You possibly won't even have heard of many of these sitcoms or heard of them but know little about them and/or not had the opportunity to hear them as lost or hidden in the archives.
